March Plan

Due to my final exams approaching, I need to begin to get all of my blog and evaluations rounded-off due to my focus being important within my exam studies. I will aim to finish most of my blog this month:
- Evaluation Question 6
- Evaluation Question 7
- Ensure blog is up to date, add any additional independent posts and research

Time Management

I am currently making all attempts to ensure all of the checklist is completely checked off. I am targeting to start my work on my evaluation questions as soon as possible, and must brainstorm ways in which I can vary each question and employ a variety of media into my magazine.

Time Management

I have a short amount of time left until my deadline and I am having some difficulties ensuring that everything is complete. I am, however, going to lengths and taking my own time to try and complete as much as possible. This means that I will be able to obtain my a first opinion of my blog, as well as improvements that shall be made in order to achieve the best grade I can.

I am really pleased with the ways I am planning my work, I am using the list that has been given to me by my lecturer to tick off posts as they are published. I am also continuing to brainstorm as many ways as possible to make my blog different, and to use various applications and websites such as Prezi as well as iMovie, to add an element of multimedia and difference to my blog.

Time Management

Currently, I am attempting to keep all of my posts up to date, and to a good standard, whilst also perfecting my first drafts of my practical product. I have been struggling to update posts that involve time management due to my desire to have all of my posts within a certain order. From now on, despite wanting to keep a chronological order of my posts, I will compose a time management post, every time I make various steps within my work.
During the holidays, as well as allowing myself some free time, I have created a schedule that I have been sticking to in order to completely finish the majority of my coursework. This has been created, by assigning certain days to ensure various areas of my coursework are complete. I have done this by following a list of posts that should be completed on my blog, and ticking or circling them, depending on whether they are complete or not. Therefore, I can ensure that I have fully completed all of my coursework. This is an idea of the timetable I am following below:

February Plan

I found it fairly difficult to complete the questions in depth in this amount of time due to a lot of research going in to the questions. I am going to try and keep these updated, and complete the nest few questions this month:
- Evaluation Question 3
- Evaluation Question 4
- Evaluation Question 5

Masthead Ideas

In order to explore the options/ideas I put forward for a name of my magazine, I created a prezi, presenting my 3 most favourite ideas, whilst discussing what I liked/disliked about them and why. This allowed me to weigh out my options and determine which one would be best suited over the others and why. I have embedded this press below:

This Session...

This session I plan on continuing to edit my images from my photo shoot in order to achieve the red, white and black theme that I desire for my magazine, however, firstly I plan on finding a font in order to prepare me for creating a realistic cover. To do so, I will find several fonts that I like and narrow it down, with the help of friends, in order to tailor it to my target audience.

January Plan

Last month was reasonably laid back, due to my focus being on getting my product perfect. From here I will be focusing on my evaluation questions and ensuring my blog is up to date:
- Evaluation Question 1 Research and Answer
- Evaluation Question 2 Research and Answer

Both answers must be media rich.

Time Management

This lesson I have done as planned. My photoshop practice post is completed and I have completed a lot more of the flat plans and rationales post than I had planned to. Outside of the lesson, I hope to have this post fully completed by next less in order to swiftly move on with the production element of my coursework.

Lesson Plan

This lesson I am planning on completing my post about my photoshop practice and also completing more of my flat plans and rationales. I am fully aware of how much work I have to do and how much detail I am planning on putting into the posts so I am wary of the fact that I amy not complete the flat plans and rationales post.

December Plan

In my previous month I did struggle to complete my targeted posts, therefore I must complete them to ensure I am up to date. This is my December plan:
- Take feedback from my lecturers in order to create multiple drafts
- Edit and update product to professional standard
- Update all time management posts
- Evaluation Question research

November Plan

In October, I successfully completed my targeted blog posts, and even added more posts surrounding feedback on my magazine proposal and the way I've progressed from that. This is my plan for November, focusing majorly on my photoshoot:

- Photoshoot Planning
- Photoshoot Practice Images
- Contact Sheet
- Flat Plans and Rationale
- Article Draft
- First Practical Draft

Time Management

As I have fallen behind recently, I have been trying my hardest to catch up within this area of the coursework (Research and Planning). As several of the most recent tasks have been fairly detailed they have taken a larger scale of time, and I hope to be fully up to date within the next week or so.

I am really enjoying this course so far.

Time Management

I believe that within my work, I pride myself on going into thorough detail, prolonging the period of time that I require to complete tasks. I also believe that this is why I have slightly fallen behind within my tasks. For example, my Preliminary Task (including evaluation) and my Target Audience Feedback are both posts that were composed of detail, causing them to be lengthy and time-consuming. Nevertheless, I am quite happy with the outcome of these posts, and believe that the slight fall-back is worth the extra detail I try to apply.

To overcome this problem, I am continuing to use my own time both inside and outside college life to ensure that all tasks are complete to the best of my ability (until marked and improvements are suggested).

Time Management

I have successfully constructed my preliminary task flat plans, so am now working on my final practical task. I am planning on creating a product that will suit a particular target audience and continuously provide new and impressive music a month prior to when they will popularise. I believe this will be a desirable effect due to those around the age of my target audience 16-30 wanting to maintain a trendsetter effect, enabling them to be among those who are first to have the newest hits in their music library.

I am planning on composing a magazine proposal that will cover all of the details of my magazine as well as areas of what my front cover, contents page and double page spread will feature. Before I do this, I must gain more knowledge of my target audience. To do this I will create some audience profile providing examples of people from my target audience. I will also interview an example from my target audience and analyse this video and upload it to my blog. With the analysis, I will compose another post that will feature feedback on the interview and what I found from the interview.

Time Management

Recently, I have struggled to post my blog posts before the deadlines set within class. This has left me needing to make extra time in order to ensure of my work's completion. This is anything from time spent in the college learning centre, to emailing myself work to complete at home. In order to ensure that I don't fall behind, I have set myself a personal deadline to ensure everything is completed and up to date buy the end of this week.

By selecting this deadline, I am fully self-motivated to catch up and be on top of my coursework.

Time Management

I have recently been reviewing magazine's and the conventions of a front cover. I have gone in depth with this analysis so it has taken a considerable amount of the session, however I would also like to look at conventions of a magazine's website and possibly a billboard. Due to each of my media sessions involving set tasks on our blogs, I would have to do this as independent study within my own time. This is not a problem as long as I work around my schedule.

To make arranging my free time easier, I have decided to identify and allocate time that I have free to any extra media that needs completing in order to ensure that I get everything done to the best possible standard. The times I have allocated follow below:

Monday: 10-12:15
Wednesday: 2-5
Friday: 12-3

As I am studying 2 other AS Levels, I have has to also work my time around independent study and time to complete any set work for those subjects also. It has also been considerably difficult for my to work my time around the part-time job that I also have, but I am trying my best to make the most of any free time I have, whilst still keeping time open to relax and have time to myself.

Time Management

After completing my inspirational research on my magazine itself, I am feeling confident with the new ideas I am beginning to gather on the type of magazine I would like to create. However, I am struggling with inspiration with my blog and how to make it different and more interesting. I have taken down some links to previous students blogs who have achieved high grades, to analyse what I like/dislike about them and hopefully gain inspiration and boost my grade.

Time Management

     Over the previous week, I have been set multiple tasks for a set deadline, and if they have not been completed I have taken the tasks home and completed them in my own time.
     In terms of how may tasks were set within a certain time, I struggled to completed all of them in class time, so have taken up my own time to complete these tasks either at home, or in the extra house I have stayed at college. By doing this, I am fully able to complete the tasks in order to carry on with the next set of tasks that I will be issued in the next lesson. The tasks themselves have been manageable and have challenged me at the same time as teaching me.
